Banks and finance companies.
What is the difference?
- Public-sector banks
- Government-owned banks, such as SBI and Union Bank of India. Ask about your course, family income and any property security needed for the Loan.
- Private banks
- These are not government-owned banks. Examples include HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank. Check whether an Education Loan option is available for your course and needs.
- Finance companies
- These include Credila, Avanse and InCred. They offer Loans but are not banks. You may also see them called NBFCs.
